The Little Book Farmers  team is a small family of illustrators, writers, and musicians that have a love and passion for creating books with good messages for children. We work on everything together, from the story ideas all the way to the finished books, songs, and learning resources. Each one of us has a special job, and together we help each other. Our books encourage love, appreciation, gratitude, learning, resilience, and hope. Our purpose is to bring joy to children and parents alike.

C. Lopez Espina

Hello, my name is C. Lopez Espina. I am the founder and creative director of Little Book Farmers  publishing. 

My love for art is immense; through it I have found healing and open doors wherever I go. Music is my greatest passion, and songwriting is my calling. I love solving problems, finding solutions, and strongly believe that art and consciousness are the essence of civilization.
I also believe that learning those foundations at an early age is extremely important. That is why my family and I decided to start “Little Book Farmers,” where we can combine our gifts and turn them into books, learning resources, and music for the young, spreading the universal idea that love is what makes us grow. Being fluent in English and Spanish has allowed us to have all of our works available in both languages. If you found us, you truly found something very, very special and made with love.

L. Lopez Espina

Hello my name is L. Lopez Espina. Alongside my husband, I am the co-founder of Little Book Farmers  publishing. Above all things, my heart is in my home as a proud wife and mother.

All my life I’ve enjoyed writing, drawing, painting, and creating art, but I fell absolutely in love with illustration. My passion is writing and hand-painting children’s books and stories with watercolor and ink; as well as making Little Book Farmers’ animation art, and creating homeschooling/educational coloring resources alongside my Little Book Farmers family.

I treasure everything about home sweet home and seeing kindness in the world. My favorite pastimes are reading with my loved ones, watching movies, learning, sharing a nice meal together, and taking in the beautiful natural places, especially my native Oregon coast. Best of all, I like working on family projects that encourage learning, gratitude, and a sense of wanting to do one’s best.

H. Lopez Espina

Salutations! I’m H. Lopez Espina, and it’s a pleasure to introduce myself to you. I am a proud member and co-owner of Little Book Farmers. When I’m not brainstorming on my books, I am sure to be found playing kalimba, piano, or guitar. I love drawing everything dragons, which is my greatest passion apart from writing. I’m also an avid reader. I particularly love books on prehistoric life, and love learning (especially about dinosaurs). For fun, I like to sew plush dragons. It is my favorite pastime to make up jokes, and to research fun facts.

R. Little

Hello, I am R. Little, an author/illustrator, animator, and part of the Little Book Farmers  family.

I love spending time with animals, especially dogs. I think animals are a great inspiration for illustrations because they are inherently wise and have an excellent sense of humor.

I love drawing, making new characters, and imagining what kind of personality they will have. I find joy in illustrating, animating, and finding new ways to spread good messages. With the help of my Little Book Farmers family, we find ways to materialize ideas and life lessons into children’s books, working on everything together. I’m very happy to be a part of Little Book Farmers, doing what I love and what I’ve dreamed of ever since I was a child.
